Christmas Fayre

£1,179.70 Raised

Thank You

What a day we chose to hold our Christmas Fayre!!

When we arrived to set up at the Mackarness Hall, it was a chilly day but otherwise a nice day – before we could finish setting up, Honiton was covered in snow – very Christmassy – but as a result the town was very quiet.

Father Christmas ventured out onto the High Street and persuaded those brave enough to venture out that a warm hall, a hot drink, a mince pie and great live music were just what was needed to stave off the weather. The added bonus would be the wonderful array of hand made items and gifts, elegant Christmas wreaths, as well as a ‘win every time’ tombola.

Looking Smart before Performing

By the time we came to the end of the Fayre, Father Christmas came in from the frozen street, and we were amazed to find we had raised the fantastic sum of £1,179.70 towards the work of the Friends – supporting health and wellbeing in and around Honiton.

Finally, a big thank you to all the volunteers who gave up so much of their time in not only making items to sell over many weeks, but also in manning the stalls on the day.

There was a superb atmosphere and a chance to have a laugh as well.
