Free Music therapy sessions in Honiton
2nd & 4th Thursdays 2-4pm from July 14th
At Honiton Methodist Church, Chapel Street, EX14 1EU
(Chapel Street is opposite the TRIP offices in New Street)
Honiton Hospital & Community League of Friends is pleased to offer free Music Therapy sessions in association with the Towersey Foundation. Sessions will be led by HCPC-registered Music Therapists and supported by volunteers from the League of Friends. This has been made possible by a generous legacy from the late Jean Price who was a professional harpist living in Honiton.
Music Therapy is an established intervention to help people whose lives have been affected by injury, illness or disability through supporting their psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, communicative and social needs.
You can find out more about Music Therapy from the website of the British Association for Music Therapy.
No music experience is required. Play, sing or listen – the choice is yours.
Refreshments will be available and the sessions are designed to be enjoyable and fun.
